My social justice project is to provide an equitable visitor experience for the disabled community at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (an educational institution and a museum. On this page you will learn about my social justice presentation. 
Initially wanted to present on the topic of my social justice project but was not able to retain a position on the day that dealt with ableism. I was able to choose ageism as the topic of my presentation. 
What I learned is that ageism is at the intersection of all social justice issues. At some point if we are lucky we would have been all the demographics that are discriminated against because of their age, youth, middle aged, and elder.

What are some of the best ways that youth can support elders and elders can support youth? Do you see this type of support in your organizations?
Why does ageism exist if it is the one oppression that we are all connected to?
Do you think that the cheapest, most humane, and most cost-effective way to respond to juvenile crime is to not incarcerate, but provide programs and investments that strengthen families, increase stability and provide access to educational and employment opportunities?
How does your organization mend the digital divide with elders in your communities?
How can we ensure that our elder community can continue to be apart of the technological world?
